Welcome! Your Foundational Fertility & Pregnancy Support Nutrient Support Plan This plan is designed to support nutritional needs, energy, muscle relaxation, healthy iron status, and preparation for pregnancy. It combines foundational nutrients with convenient protein support to help fill dietary gaps and promote consistent nourishment. Each product has a different role, and recommendations should be adjusted according to diet, symptoms, medications, laboratory results, and stage of pregnancy planning. Magnesium Lotion Why it may be useful during pregnancy: Can be massaged onto areas of muscle tension, such as the legs, lower back, shoulders, or feet. Massage and moisturizing may provide localized comfort as the body changes. May be a relaxing addition to an evening routine. Simple reason for taking: Provides topical comfort for tired, tense muscles and supports relaxation. Evidence note: Magnesium absorption through the skin has not been reliably demonstrated, so the lotion should not be treated as a substitute for dietary or oral magnesium. Avoid broken or irritated skin and discontinue if it causes burning or a rash. Review of transdermal magnesium Magnesium Citrate SAP Why it may be useful during pregnancy: Magnesium supports normal muscle, nerve, and energy function. May help meet increased nutritional needs when dietary magnesium intake is inadequate. Magnesium citrate can also soften stools, which may be helpful when constipation occurs during pregnancy. Simple reason for taking: Supports healthy magnesium intake, normal muscle function, relaxation, and bowel regularity. Important: Magnesium citrate can cause diarrhea or abdominal discomfort. The total amount from the prenatal and separate magnesium supplement should be reviewed. Anyone with kidney disease should not supplement without medical guidance. Iron+ Liquid Why it may be useful during pregnancy: Iron is required to make hemoglobin, which carries oxygen through the body. Iron requirements increase during pregnancy as maternal blood volume expands and the baby and placenta develop. Supplementation can help prevent or correct iron-deficiency anemia when intake or iron stores are inadequate. Liquid iron may be easier for some people to take than tablets. Simple reason for taking: Supports healthy iron levels, red-blood-cell production, oxygen transport, and increased pregnancy requirements. Important: Separate iron should be based on bloodwork—typically hemoglobin, ferritin and related markers—and the amount already present in the prenatal. Twice-daily iron is not automatically necessary. Excess iron may cause nausea, constipation, abdominal pain, or potentially harmful accumulation. Liposomal Vitamin C Why it may be useful during pregnancy: Vitamin C supports immune function, collagen production, tissue repair, and antioxidant protection. Helps the body absorb non-heme iron from supplements and plant foods. May be particularly useful when taken alongside iron if dietary vitamin C intake is inadequate. Simple reason for taking: Supports immune and connective-tissue health while helping the body absorb iron. Important: Liposomal delivery is not necessarily required during pregnancy. Check how much vitamin C is already supplied by the prenatal and diet. Higher doses can cause diarrhea or stomach discomfort. PreNatal Nutrients Why it may be useful during pregnancy: Provides foundational vitamins and minerals needed before and during pregnancy. Folic acid or folate supports early development of the baby’s brain, spine, and skull. Iron supports increased blood volume and healthy red-blood-cell production. Other nutrients may support thyroid function, bone development, energy metabolism, and maternal nutrient stores, depending on the exact formula. Simple reason for taking: Provides foundational nutrients to support maternal health and the baby’s healthy growth and development. This should generally be the foundation of the plan. Health Canada recommends a daily multivitamin containing 0.4 mg of folic acid for people who could become pregnant, are planning pregnancy, or are pregnant. Health Canada pregnancy guidance Important: Use the full labelled serving—not simply “one capsule”—unless one capsule supplies the intended daily dose. Do not double the serving. The formula should be checked for adequate folic acid, iron, iodine and vitamin D, as well as whether it contains choline or DHA, because not every prenatal provides all pregnancy-relevant nutrients. Clean Plant Protein – Natural Vanilla Why it may be useful during pregnancy: Provides a convenient source of protein when appetite, nausea, food aversions, or limited meal preparation make eating difficult. Protein supplies amino acids needed for the growth of maternal tissues, the placenta, and the baby. Can help make smoothies and snacks more filling and nutritionally balanced. May help maintain more stable energy when combined with carbohydrates and healthy fats. Simple reason for taking: Provides convenient protein to support maternal nourishment, steady energy, and the baby’s growth. Especially useful if you have any aversions to other sources of protein! Important: It should supplement regular meals rather than replace a varied diet. Confirm that the product has appropriate quality testing and does not contain herbal blends, stimulants, excessive added vitamins, or other ingredients that have not been established as safe during pregnancy. Important Disclaimer These recommendations are intended for general nutrition and wellness support and are not a substitute for individualized medical care, diagnosis, prenatal care, or treatment. Iron should ideally be taken only when laboratory results or a qualified healthcare provider indicate a need. Excess iron can be harmful and may cause constipation, nausea, or abdominal discomfort. Because the prenatal formula may already contain iron, vitamin C, magnesium, and other nutrients, the combined amounts from all supplements should be reviewed to prevent unnecessary duplication. Please consult your physician, midwife, or pharmacist before beginning this plan if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, taking medication, managing a medical condition, or preparing for surgery. Stop using any product that causes an adverse reaction and seek medical care for severe fatigue, fainting, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, heavy bleeding, persistent vomiting, or other concerning symptoms.

Welcome! Premenstrual symptoms can be influenced by several factors, including changes in appetite, energy, mood, sleep, digestion, muscle tension, and fluid balance. This plan uses a combination of nutritional and herbal supports to help address these areas and promote greater comfort throughout the menstrual cycle. Some products provide more direct PMS support, while others help build a foundation of balanced nutrition, digestion, hydration, and steady energy. Organic Roasted Dandelion Root Why it may help: Traditionally used to support digestion and liver function. Its mild diuretic effect may help with temporary water retention and bloating before a period. A warm, caffeine-free drink can replace coffee if caffeine worsens anxiety, breast tenderness, or sleep. Simple reason for taking: Supports digestion and may help reduce premenstrual bloating and water retention. Evidence note: Direct research on dandelion root for PMS is limited. Magnesium Oil Why it may help: Can be massaged into tense or uncomfortable muscles. The massage itself may provide localized relaxation and comfort. Some people find it soothing for menstrual cramps, back tension, or restless legs. Simple reason for taking: Provides topical comfort for muscle tension, cramping, and general relaxation. Important: Evidence that meaningful amounts of magnesium are absorbed through the skin is weak. It should not be presented as equivalent to an oral magnesium supplement. It can also irritate or sting sensitive skin. Review of transdermal magnesium evidence PurePea™ Vanilla Protein Why it may help: Helps make meals and snacks more filling. Regular protein intake can help maintain steadier energy and reduce intense hunger or cravings. Provides an easy protein option when appetite, motivation, or meal preparation is more difficult before a period. Supports overall nutrient intake and blood-sugar stability rather than directly treating PMS. Simple reason for taking: Supports steady energy, fullness, and more balanced eating during the premenstrual phase. Women’s Multi Probiotic Why it may help: Supports a balanced intestinal and vaginal microbiome. May support regular digestion, particularly if constipation or digestive changes occur around the menstrual cycle. Gut health can influence general immune, metabolic, and digestive health. Simple reason for taking: Supports digestive regularity and a healthy intestinal and vaginal microbiome. Evidence note: Probiotics are not an established treatment for PMS. Benefits depend heavily on the specific strains and the individual’s symptoms. Organic Raspberry Leaf Tea Why it may help: Traditionally used to support menstrual comfort. The warm tea may feel soothing during abdominal discomfort or cramping. Provides a caffeine-free hydration option. Simple reason for taking: Traditionally used to support menstrual comfort and provide a soothing, caffeine-free drink. Evidence note: Claims that raspberry leaf “tones the uterus” or reliably reduces PMS symptoms are not strongly supported by human research. Its benefit for PMS remains largely traditional rather than proven. Natural Calm Raspberry Lemon Why it may help: Provides oral magnesium, which may help with bloating and some PMS symptoms. Magnesium supports normal muscle and nervous-system function. It may promote relaxation and help if tension or difficulty winding down increases before the period. Simple reason for taking: Provides magnesium to support relaxation, muscle function, and relief from some premenstrual symptoms. Oral magnesium has some support in PMS guidance, although the evidence is not definitive. ACOG PMS guidance Important: Start gradually because magnesium citrate can cause loose stools. Check the label for the actual amount of elemental magnesium rather than relying only on the number of teaspoons. Cod Liver Oil Why it may help: Supplies omega-3 fatty acids, which support inflammatory regulation and general cardiovascular and brain health. Research suggests omega-3 supplementation may reduce some physical and emotional PMS symptoms, although study results vary. Also supplies vitamins A and D, depending on the product and dose. Simple reason for taking: Provides omega-3 fatty acids to support inflammatory balance, mood, and overall health. A meta-analysis found potential improvements in both physical and psychological PMS symptoms, but the studies were quite inconsistent. Omega-3 and PMS meta-analysis Important: Cod liver oil is not interchangeable with ordinary fish oil because it contains preformed vitamin A and vitamin D. Total intake should be checked carefully, especially during pregnancy or when taking other vitamin A or D products. Important Disclaimer These recommendations are intended for general nutrition and wellness support and are not a substitute for individualized medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. Evidence for PMS supplements varies, and results differ from person to person. Please consult your physician or pharmacist before beginning new supplements if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, taking medication, managing a medical condition, or preparing for surgery. Stop using any product that causes an adverse reaction. Seek medical assessment for severe or worsening symptoms, symptoms that significantly interfere with daily life, very heavy or irregular bleeding, severe pain, or suspected premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
