Licorice and curcumin (high dose) are considered unsafe during pregnancy. Safety data is lacking for use during lactation, and in children, though no specific contraindication is known. Consult a health care professional prior to use if you have gallstones, stomach ulcers, excess stomach acid, liver disorder or liver disease. Consult a health care professional if symptoms persist or worsen. Do not use if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure or a kidney or cardiovascular disorder, or if you have a bile duct obstruction. Hypersensitivity is known to occur, in which case, discontinue use.
