Used in herbal medicine as a calmative and/or sleep aid.
Suggested Use / Directions:
Take one capsule once per day separated from products containing caffeine, or as directed by your health care provider.

Kava-kava (Piper methysticum root 30% kavalactones) ... 400mg

Non-Medicinal Ingredients:
Cellulose, hypromellose – all from vegetable source.

Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist/worsen, or prior to use if pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you suffer from liver disease or epilepsy, or if using conventional sedative-hypnotics (or natural health products with similar effects), anxiolytics, MAO inhibitors and other psychopharmacological agents, levodopa (or other drugs for parkinson’s disease), or anti-placelet agents.

Consumption with alcohol or anti-convulsants is not recommended. Excessive use, or use with the products that cause drowsiness, may impair your ability to operate a vehicle or use machinery. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if you develop symptoms that may signal liver problems (e.g. unexplained fatigue, abdominal pain, fever, vomiting, dark urine, yellow eyes or skin.)
