Used in Herbal Medicine as an expectorant to help relieve catarrhs of the upper respiratory tract, especially coughs associated with colds
Provides antioxidants that help fight the oxidative damage caused by free radicals
Suggested Use:
Adults (19 years and over): take 1 capsule 3 times per day. Take with a meal or food, a few hours before or after if you taking supplements containing iron, calcium, copper or zinc. Take for 5 to 7 consecutive days. Consult a health care practitioner if use extends beyond 3 weeks.
Ingredients* (per capsule):
Origanum vulgare* (Oregano essential oil) (leaf) ... 70 mg
(3.5 mg thymol, 5% thymol, 42 mg carvacrol, 60% carvacrol)
Non-medicinal ingredients: Gelatin, glycerin, lemon peel essential oil, rapeseed oil, tocopherols.
*BIO (ORGANIC) refers to organically grown product (Certisys Inspection-BE-BIO-01)
Cautions and warnings: Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have cardiovascular disorders, coagulation, diabetes, stomach ulcers, inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, or if you are taking blood thinners. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Keep out of reach of young children.
Contra-indications: Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if allergic to plants of the Lamiaceae family (mint, basil, thyme).
Known adverse reactions: Some people may experience gastroesophageal reflux and prolonged use may cause irritation of the gastrointestinal mucosa. In this case, discontinue use. Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use.
