P.E.A.k Antioxidant Support
P.E.A.k Antioxidant Support combines the anti-inflammatory properties of PEA (palmitoylethanolamide) with R+ alpha lipoic acid which is a proven antioxidant. PEA and R+ alpha lipoic acid are a potent combination, protecting the nerve cells, relieving pain and inflammation and providing antioxidant support.
PEA is a naturally occurring long-chain fatty acid amide, not unlike those found in omega 3’s, flax, olives and borage oils. The body naturally produces PEA during times of stress, danger and disease to relieve discomfort and promote a health inflammatory response.
Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) has been used for over fifty years in managing high blood glucose levels which are highly damaging to most tissues due to the formation of advanced glycating end products. The mechanism of action is likely via improved insulin signaling and reducing insulin resistance. AOR was the first company in the world to introduce pure R+ lipoic acid which is a superior antioxidant to the ALA mixture which contains both R+ and S forms.
The powerful anti-inflammatory effects of PEA combined with the antioxidant effects of R+ lipoic acid has protective properties on diabetic neuropathic pain. PEA and R+ are a potent combination that can promote healthy glucose metabolism and support improved insulin signaling.
