Ferritin+

Ferritin+, a clinically proven, plant-based ferritin-iron made with organic peas. Ferritin is a naturally protein-coated form of iron found in legumes that allows for time release and efficient absorption, which helps to minimize irritation to the gastro-intestinal and digestive upset. Ferritin is a type of iron containing protein that is absorbed by endocytosis, a different absorption pathway than other iron forms, like ferrous sulphate or heme iron. Due to its unique protein bound nature, ferritin iron absorption is unaffected by anti-nutritives like phytates, oxalates or tannins, as well as minerals like calcium. It also doesn't require vitamin C or other co-factors.

Suggested Use: Adults, adolescent and children 6 years and over: Take 1 capsule daily with food. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products.
